  • Achilles Tendinopathy (formerly referred to as Tendinitis)
  • Morton’s Neuroma
  • Shin Splints (Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome)
  • Knee Pain (Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome or other knee-related issues)
  • Stress Fractures
  • Flat Feet (Pes Planus)
  • Growing Pains (commonly Sever’s Disease in children)
  • In-toeing (commonly known as Pigeon-Toed Walking)
  • Ingrown Toenails

What does a podiatry appointment involve?

The aim of your first podiatry appointment is to:

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment
  • Develop a clear understanding of your health history
  • Collect information about your current symptoms and condition
  • Examine your feet, ankles and legs
  • Assess movement of the joints
  • Assess strength of the muscles of the feet and legs
  • Assess walking pattern and footwear

Please bring your shoes with you and your podiatrist will also review your current footwear for its suitability to your biomechanics and activities.

We do ask our patients to bring any relevant medical assessments of the injury (such as x-rays or MRI scan) to the first appointment. Once we have all the necessary information, your podiatrist will tailor a specific treatment plan.
